Virginia believes deeply that all children are capable of becoming strong readers and that we must give them all the support they need to achieve that goal, especially children from underserved communities.

Virginia was a public elementary school teacher and literacy specialist for 10 years. She was introduced to FluentSeeds while working for a partner organization in her hometown of Oakland, CA. She saw firsthand how transformational the coaching model can be for adults and children. Recognizing that we can only solve problems that we fully understand, she is passionate about using data to help FluentSeeds continuously learn, grow, and share its impact with others.

She has a B.A. from Swarthmore College and a Master’s degree in Effective Teaching from the Sposato Graduate School of Education in Boston, MA.
