With the exception of 3 school years in Berkeley, Ana has lived in Oakland and attended OUSD schools for the entirety of her life. She is the proud parent of 3 children; a set of high school sophomore twins and a son who graduated from OUSD in 2018. As a parent volunteer in their schools, she served on the school redesign team and administrative hiring committee. A life-long learner, Ana is currently pursuing a degree in sociology and plans to attend CSUEB in Spring 2023.
